This week was love of reading week where the students were to dress up as various things. So I present Pirate Day.
McCoy dressed as pirate for 1st grade class contest
Declan in fourth grade also dressed as a pirate. He made paper cuffs to wear with his costume but they broke as he was leaving for the bus, but we did get this picture of it. They actually looked really good but sadly weren't to durable. Since they wore the same head piece I can ask who wore it better?
This picture of McCoy looks just like my dad (Pa) to me. Must be the mustache.

Quinton had his first junior high track meet. He is standing to the right of the guy with out stretched arms.
He was competing in the hurdles, he is wearing the white undershirt and is behind the other runners next to far right lane. You can just see his head and white shirt.
He is the last runner mid air jumping over the hurdle. The coach hasn't yet worked with the hurdlers they just did their own thing.
Quinton was last place in his heat but he didn't touch any hurdles and so he ended up third place due to other racers losing points for touching their hurdles. Not sure how accurate that is but that's what I was told.
He also competed in the 100m that's him on the left in green.
See wee Archy's head center bottom of picture.
Why did the pirate look forward to Friday?
For some arrrrrgh and arrrrrgh!
Hope you get to enjoy some this weekend!
Happy Friday!
