Cardboard Sledding

Cardboard sledding was a favorite pastime when my sister and I were younger we would go this same spot and sled down. We had a pretty good run established back then. The more you go down the better the route gets. Once we even had snow which we thought would make it better but all it did was turn the run to mud. You don't see much snow around these parts maybe a light dusting every decade if you are lucky.
Hence the cardboard sledding!

Quinton was the first to test it out. It doesn't look very steep from below but Ashlee said it is quite steep from the top.

Soon the train was a going with all the boys sliding down and toting the boxes back up on the path on the side.

Zaynzley watches from the top

She is a little sad she wants to go but is scared.

Ashlee gets her and helps her feel part of the fun. McCoy had the technique down, he would go down rodeo style with one arm in the air.

McCoy & Archy go down together.

Ashlee would give them a push at the top to get them going faster. Archy tried with a push and didn't like it. He gave Ashlee his infamous two finger point (first finger and middle finger together) and said, "Next time don't you push me!" He has a fine layer of dust on his face but the skinned nose happened a few days ago.

Zany decides to sit and watch the fun she did try sledding down once.

After it got dark and we had to quit sledding, we returned to the house and had a yummy strawberry pie that Ashlee made. She also made fruit cobbler and apple tart. She is quite a baker.

They were all very good! Everyone had a fine, dusty time!
