Broken Key

We bid a fond farewell to St. Patty's Day and take down the decorations made by McCoy. Sad news, one of our post in our piano the G key broke so now we have no G key which really bothers Declan and Quinton and I have to hear about it every time they practice. I bought this piano used for $200.00 and had it tuned and repaired for $90.00. It is an old player piano although the player part doesn't work. We had the piano man come and take a look at it to see if he can fix it. Cross your fingers that he can!

We finally had a chance to make waffles with our wonderflour (brown rice, spelt, pearled barley ground into flour and whisked together) and they were really good much lighter than whole wheat and even tastier than regular white flour.  Everyone really liked them and not a piece was leftover. It is my new favorite thing- wonderflour!

Ashlee stayed the night because she and I went to Tucson for shopping on Tuesday. When you only get to go to Costco every few months they list gets really long and expensive. We each bought a new item to try; Ashlee bought toasted coconut cashews (in the nuts section by the registers) which were cashews dipped in vanilla then rolled in toasted coconut. They were beyond delicious, so rich and tasty, big thumbs up. I tried Dark Chocolate super fruits which are cranberries, bing cherries and blueberries covered in chocolate. It is so so the cherries are the best of it but I wouldn't buy it again. We had a lot of fun shopping and even made it home before midnight (11:30 p.m. we left at 7:50 a.m.).

This spring break is going by to fast hopefully we can get the yard in order and maybe even plant some flowers!
