Movie time in a theater!

Once in a while we go to the movies if few and far between. Movies with a toddler (Zany) aren't always enjoyable although she did really good in Frozen. Ashlee and Pa came in to see The Lego Movie with us. Ashlee is a big fan of legos and always has been. In fact, Eddy and I can both see shades of the Will Ferrell character in her although she doesn't glue her lego sets. Pa didn't like the Lego Movie very well he much preferred Frozen but the rest of us liked it. I missed quite a bit of the dialogue handing out popcorn and the like but I would like to see it again.

Ashlee and Archy waiting for the movie start. Ashlee and I were the advance party to the movie to save seats.

Pa and Zany hanging out.

Declan, McCoy, Archy spent their money on a imaginext mystery pack. When I was a kid you could only buy hello kitty stuff at the mall at a special hello kitty store. Now you can get it anywhere but then it was very exclusive and pricey. The hello kitty store did something my sister and I both loved--a mystery grab bag. They would have a basket that would have stapled bags with prices written on them but you couldn't tell what was in them. You would buy them and then opened it to see what you got. You always got more for your money by getting a grab bag item and we loved bargains from a young age so we would save up or in my case borrow money to buy them. It was so fun!

Archy gets Arctic explorer guy

The imaginext mystery pack has a guy and two accessories (usually) for $3.00. Toys have really gone up in price when Quinton was Archy's age five dollars would get you almost any action figure now it is more like ten dollars. So these little mystery packs are one of the few cheaper toys for little pockets to afford.

Declan gets cowboy and McCoy gets Frankenstien

One of the hazards of a mystery toy is being disappointed as Declan experiences. We opened them after the movie so Ashlee could see what they got. Lego also has mystery packs for $3.00 but Wal-mart was out of them. Ashlee and I still love mystery toys.
