Annually we gather at my aunt and uncle's for a fifth of July party. We have a planned potluck and our own fireworks show. I really look forward to it and so do the kids. Eddy and the older boys are in charge of setting up and setting off the fireworks. This year they got the fireworks arranged while it was still light out.

Before we ate our delicious dinner we sang a cappella The National Anthem. Then we feasted on Ribs, Green Chile Pork, BBQ Chicken, Chili Beans, Potato Salad, Dutch Oven Chicken, Coleslaw, Rolls, Cornbread, Chips and Salsa. Everything was delish!

On the property was an orchard that had lovely soft grass that Zaynzley couldn't resist tackling McCoy on and taking him down. She has learned well from her brothers and she wasted no time in getting McCoy right where she wanted him.

There were some horses in a nearby field and Zaynzley was very excited to see some HaHas (as she calls them) up close. She usually just gets to see them from her car seat as we are driving around town. Right now hahas are her favorite thing so it was a real treat to have an encounter with them.
