In our corner of the desert we have had quite a bit of rain recently. Sometimes when it comes to much at once it causes flooding and our road to become only safe for 4 wheelers. Luckily the town is good at fixing not only our road but others throughout town. But the result of that is that the desert sprouts all kinds of plants and there is a green tinge to everything. It may not look like much to some but its quite lush to us!

This is a Fishhook barrel cactus (I think) and it is about to flower. Its in a pretty rocky area but you can see all the little green plants doing their best |
