August, that month that brings Arizona high temperatures paired with humidity. When it is 110 degrees and a dry heat it is not too bad most people around here expect it but when it is that hot and humid, whoa, that is miserable. Then we put heavy football pads and helmets and have our boys practice for two hours in that humid heat. Football in August always surprises me every year. Football is my favorite sport season too and I look forward to it but in my mind I want cool, crisp fall air to sit and watch football. I sure hope we have an early fall or I may be sweating as much as the boys watching them play football from the sidelines in the lovely humid heat.
Quinton, Declan, and McCoy each had a week long eagle camp. Since they are a bit spaced out in age they each went to a different session which meant I spent all morning driving to and from the school picking up and dropping off kids. They really enjoyed the camps and it got them excited for football to start. Quinton is playing eighth grade football, Declan is playing Pee-Wee (age 10 to 12), McCoy and Archer are playing flag football and Eddy is coaching their flag team.
Are you ready for some football?
We are going to be having lots of it around here!
