Hoodie Babies

Make believe in this house is often lead by one of the most imaginative kids I know, Declan.  Declan has always been excellent in imagining a whole world with characters and events.  From the age of two to four, Declan wore a cape ALL THE TIME. He would wear it to the store, preschool and he would try to wear it to bed but that didn't seem safe so I wouldn't let him.  His favorite cape was a silver cape I had made out of this funky, slinky silver fabric luckily, I made two of them so I could wash it from time to time.

Declan had this idea to make hoodie babies and he of course got everyone to get there hoodies and make one too.  To make a hoodie baby you lay out your hoodie and then roll and tuck it so it all goes inside the hood and there you have your very own swaddled baby.  For a short amount of time the pretended they were babies which Zaynzley thought was fabulous.  Zany thought getting an actual baby, a cabbage patch baby, was by far better.  She carefully wrapped up her cabbage patch baby in a hoodie.

Much easier to wrap a real baby

McCoy has a really cute one

Archer has a really little one

Sometimes it is to hot here to wear hoodies in the winter so a clever guy has to think up something to do with them.
