Ashlee has returned from her pilgrimage to Spain. She spent five weeks walking all day every day through the wilds of Spain averaging eighteen miles a day. Eddy and I went to Tucson to pick her up at the airport while Nona (Carol) babysat the kiddos. Eddy and I got to spend the day having fun in the city. We made the two hour drive and immediately went to the movie theatre. Eddy got to pick the movie and he selected X-men: Days of Future Past (it had my beloved Picard [Patrick Stewart] from Star Trek Next Generation in it). It has been a few years since I had been to a big city movie theater and I was surprised how much nicer it was. The theatre was a huge, the seats were so comfortable and the popcorn had real butter on it! The movie was really good too. After the movie we briefly shopped the mall and then I went to Savers (large thrift store), then twice as nice, then we ate dinner at Pei Wei followed by Target afterwich we zoomed across town and did a Costco shop and then to the airport to finally pick up Ash at 8:40 p.m. She was happy to see us and we went to another Target that had the best clearance we left town at 10:30 p.m. Getting home after midnight and then staying up chatting until well after 2 a.m. Our Zany alarm clock woke us up at 7 a.m. as she was wandering around the house yelling for Daddy who had already left for work. Naps may be in order today.
