Most teachers in the summer, or at least the single income ones, try to find gainful employment to keep paying the bills. For quite a few years we weren't able to find a summer job since most people aren't interested in temporary employees around these parts. A few years ago a friend mentioned they were looking for a full time handyman to maintain their college rentals-trailers and apartments. Eddy got the job and has been enjoying getting to use all kinds of fun (in a man's world) equipment. After picking up Quinton from strength training camp I took him to find bigger cleats for baseball as the ones he was using gave him blisters being too small. We had luck finding a pair that fit (a man's size 11 if you can believe it!) and afterward we stopped by the Coca-cola bottling plant and got a quarter soda (Dr. Pepper Ten-pretty good for a diet soda) to take to Eddy on our way home. We found him on a frontend loader cleaning up a side yard.

Doesn't he look like he is having fun!
Eddy stopped to say Hi!
For the next three weeks we have baseball game every night (sometimes three a night) but since Declan has a scout thing tonight he won't be going to his game and we have a rare night off. Not sure what fun we will get up to swimming, movie or something else? I just know I am excited for the break and it is Friday! You may see Eddy and I at Home Depot buying supplies so he can build me a second closet in my room-Yipee!
