We had a very unlucky Friday the Thirteenth. It started at 5 a.m. with Declan throwing up in the bathroom (small mercies). He was worried he would throw up again and he didn't want to wake anyone up so he just lay on the cold tile floor. Since I had just washed the rug and it was still on the clothesline, it must have been quite cold and miserable. Later that day he was still feeling poorly and took a nap on the playroom window seat with the designated throwup bowl (when I was a kid we always used the large metal mixing bowl that went to the mixer for our throwup bowl which disturbed me a bit, so I have a bowl that is only used for throwing up that I keep under the sink). Declan likes me to put a few drops of lemon oil in the bowl in fact 75% of the time Declan is the exclusive user of the throwup bowl, poor guy.

Poor guy still miserable
Our unlucky day continued when at about 7 a.m. Eddy was on his way to work when he was in a car accident. He was only a couple blocks from home when he got in the accident. Thankfully he wasn't injured since he was going so slow at the time of the accident but the front passenger side didn't fare so well (although the other car seemed ok as was the other driver). Of course this happened on the week Eddy missed three days of work to go on the scout trip. Ouch!
McCoy surveys the damage and says, "Dad's always wrecking our cars!"
Unlucky things seem to happen in threes around here. The third thing was all four packages of raspberries Eddy just bought were very moldy and I had to throw them away, of course, in comparison it wasn't a big deal at all, just unlucky I suppose!
