Family Baseball Game

The weather was so lovely and cool for summer that is, that we took the opportunity to play a little family baseball. We picked teams grade school style, with the two father's as team captains who took turns picking their teams.  We won't say who was the dreaded last picked. Pa was a great pitcher and Eddy was a great catcher.  It had been quite a while since some of us had played baseball so there was lots of laughter. Everyone took turns batting. Poor Ashlee in going for a ball went right into a mud patch with her brand new shoes. Some of us were sporting flip flops which weren't the best choice so next time sneakers will be used.

Pa pitches to McCoy as Eddy catches and Declan is on first while Zany watches

Quinton rounding to second, Archy chasing his ball into the outfield, Ashlee can barely run she is laughing so hard, Rhiannon watching to see if Ash touches third

Oh no, brand new muddy shoes!

Big Quinton bats, Little Quinton catches

Quinton pitches

Nice home run Eddy

Pa pitches, Ashlee just misses it, Eddy about to get the ball

Nona hits a nice one

We all had such a great time playing baseball together we will have to do it again!

Declan, McCoy and Archy stayed over at the Grandparents for a couple of days so I just have Quinton and Zany. Only having two kids is such a different world, I have forgotten how easy just two kids are. We went to Quinton's baseball game and after we went to out to dinner where Quinton cashed in two reading tokens to get a soda with his dinner. He may have regretted getting that root beer since Zany insisted on having some. So it goes, at least he didn't have to share with all his siblings.
