We have a large brick wall in our new family room that was bare. It was so large I wasn't sure what I wanted to put on it a grouping of small pictures or a painting. I decided to let fate decide like a Viking would (really into the second season of Vikings!). Months passed from time to time I thought about it but I did nothing. This past weekend I took Eddy to an antique store to see if they still had a armoire I saw there awhile ago. While we were there Eddy found this giant map of the world he really liked and he said, "Pick one map or armoire?" I said without hesistation, "Armoire." Eddy was shocked he thought the map was amazing and he wanted it. Eddy nevers wants anything home decorish and lets me make all the decisions about things like that. It was so rare for him to care about something like that I agreed to get the map and he promised to build me a second closet in our bedroom. I wanted the frame re-stained (gel stain is the best) to darken it and Eddy taped it and stained it.
Eddy taping the frame to stain it darker
Eddy hanging the very heavy map by drilling it through the frame
Finished Map
Quinton photo bombs it
Cost: Map $75.00, Gel Stain $3.50 Total $78.50
