Shopping Sisters

When my sister and I were children, we would go shopping a lot with our mom. We were about 7 & 4 and every Monday we would go to a department store called Mervyn's (kind of like Sears or jcpennys) because that was the day clearance was marked down. We were trained from a young age to be bargain shoppers. Now that we are adults we love to go shopping and we love to get a deal even more. We try to never pay full retail and will wait patiently for prices to go down.  We love to go to Tucson and spend the day shopping but sadly we don't get to go to often. We recently had a chance to go and we left about 8:30 a.m. and shopped the entire day non-stop getting home at midnight. What a fun day and here it is in pictures of every stop!

Our first stop was a scenic spot called Texas Canyon.

It has enormous rocks piled high

It also conveniently is a roadside rest stop with nice bathrooms

After our two hour drive we arrived here and spent two plus
hours and didn't even look at half the store and it was
fifty percent off day. We love finding treasures at thrift stores!

By now we were starving and so we ate a Pei Wei a heathier Asian eatery

Next was target where we had a lovely browse!

We spent a surprising amount of time here.

I wanted to go here to find fabric but after an hour
I decided to abandon my selections but Ashlee found
some clearance items to do glass crafts

Part of the reason I left was to get here before it was really dark.
This is a really old (for Arizona) cemetery established by Mormon pioneers.
It is a really pretty desert cemetery.

My great grandpa died at a tragically young age (24) leaving behind
a young wife, a toddler and a day's old newborn during the great depression.
 Hard, sad times.

My great grandma LaVona Evans grave she is buried right between
her two husbands and doesn't have a headstone yet.

LaVar Price (1909-1933)

Ashlee's favorite grocery store

Dinner at Chipolte's

Used bookstore that has really good selection of cookbooks

It was a long day but so fun we would do it again in a heartbeat!
We just love shopping and laughing!
Happy Friday hope yours includes some fun shopping!
