Recently in the weather there has been much ado about the remnants of Hurricane Odile. Normally storms like that do not come our way, but this one did. There were places in SW that got many inches of rain. Our town and others in the county were preparing for the worst. It rained all day Tuesday but we were spared. Hopefully the rest of the SW will be alright, Texas was hit hard. We are very thankful it wasn't too bad here.

On Tuesday we had a downpour of rain. The Drain can't drain fast enough and it backs up in what we call our patio. (which needs a good once over) |

Here is the street view of that same moment. |

I hate wet dog, so I do indeed force him to wear a rain slicker. Most of that day we had a fine Irish misty rain.
In Rhiannon's neck of the woods the town set up free sandbags to help in case of flooding. The weather service was predicting severe flooding so Eddy and Quinton went a got quite a few sandbags to barricade around the doors of their house. Quinton had to go straight from football practice.
Quinton (white pants) surveys the area
Quinton zip ties a bag, while Eddy lugs a bag to the car
Eddy makes it look easy,
thankfully we got some nice rain but not the severe flooding.
